Foxtail Coffee Co: Woodsy vibes and hand crafted drinks

What I got

• Iced Latte with Salted Caramel Syrup, whole milk | Drink Rating: 5/10

• When I first got my latte in-cafe, it was more of a 2/10. I don’t think this score actually reflects the quality of Foxtail. My drink just did not have enough milk, making my coffee far too strong for my taste. I went home and added a splash of creamer, which made my latte exponentially better. 

Study Potential Score:

Foxtail is a calm and serene place to study if it's not crowded, but I presume during the peak of the day it might be pretty packed. The seating is very unique, with fully wooden tables and beautiful mural work on the walls. It is a cozy, quaint location that gives study vibes, sort of like a hole-in-the-wall type of location. If you want to do some reading or take some textbook notes, this is the place to go. 

Picture Potential Score:

This location is great for little poses with your coffee or perhaps photos of your drink itself against the cozy wood decor. It is small without a lot of seating, so taking individual photos may be difficult. 

Drink Variety: 4/10

This location does not have many specialty options, and focuses on a traditional coffee/cafe menu of things like lattes, cappuccinos, espresso shots, etc. If you like traditional coffee shops with great basic menu items that are each high quality, this is a great location.

I would love to see an expanded cafe food and drink menu or perhaps a small list of specialty flavors based on the season if there is not one already. 

Customer Experience: 10/10

We were able to use coupons, making our lattes nearly $5… an unheard price for iced lattes these days! Our barista was very benevolent and allowed us to pick a non-dairy milk at no extra charge, which made our entire day. The checkout includes a sticky note wall where you can leave a positive message or doodle, and see the community interaction brightened by the entire day. I love seeing how we can connect without even knowing each other!

My Review

Foxtail’s customer service stands out to me, and I remember the brief conversation with the barista like it was just yesterday. Just the customer service and the instant friendly connection makes me love the cafe and want to go back. Keeping this in mind, for my networking enthusiasts, I recommend that you go out of your way to have conversations and learn about people without a particular self-centered end goal in mind.
