What I got at this study cafe
Iced Salted Caramel Latte 16oz, 2% Milk | Drink Rating: 8/10
I’ve gotten a lot of drinks at Dancing Goats Midtown, but I always go back. Be it placebo or not, whenever I get a coffee there… I feel more awake. Literally. I know that’s the purpose of caffeine, but I feel that their coffee is stronger than other iced lattes I’ve tried without compensating on how sweet the drink itself is.
My usual order is an Iced Salted Caramel Latte with light ice and 2% milk. I like my coffees on the sweeter side, so it’s the perfect sweet drink. Not too milky, but not too strong either. I notice that my drink’s ice tends to melt pretty fast, however, and my latte will get pretty watered down if I let it sit for more than 45 minutes- but that is rare, because I drink up my Salted Caramel Amazing-ness pretty fast, haha.
Study Potential Score: 7.5/10
I’ve studied at this cafe many times, and it’s a great spot to go to when I am sick of spending hours at the library. It has plenty of seating AND plenty of outlets. The tables are perfect for laying out your laptop and an ipad, and the seats all have backs on them for my baddies with back pain when sitting for long periods of time!
Note that during peak hours, however, the cafe gets pretty noisy and crowded, which can be distracting. Bring a jacket, because it gets cold inside, even in the fall and wintertime.

Picture Potential Score: 2/10
Moving on to picture potential- the cafe is your typical coffee shop with more utilitarian, simple decor. It doesn't serve particularly aesthetic drinks and desserts, but the simplicity offers a solid space to get work done without getting distracted by the ambience or photoshoots going on around you.
Honestly, I love studying here because of how simple and comforting the decor is, and coming here so many times has made me associate the cafe with getting work done (which is a win for me).
Drink Variety: 7/10
The drink variety is pretty decent, with rotating seasonal specials and interesting flavors, Matcha lattes that are actually green, and enough coffee flavors to keep you wondering at checkout for a while (me haha). Caffeine lovers will find their favorite drink, and you can customize the milk, sweetness level, ice level, etc to your taste.
I will say that the food menu could be expanded- if you come later in the day, the cafe will likely be out of their amazon chocolate-chip banana bread or other specialty, in-house homemade pastries. If you’re coming here hungry, you might be able to grab a large cookie but there’s not always a ton of options otherwise.
Customer Experience: 9/10
The baristas are so kind and accommodating to your individual preferences! If your drink needs more syrup or sweetness, they will even modify it after making it. At checkout, pick up some free stickers or Dancing Goats branded pens- they always make my day! The entire staff is awesome.

Special Aspects
Very walkable from Georgia Tech Campus. Lots of flavor options for coffees and matchas!
Study Strategy Recommendation:
The simplicity of Dancing Goats, or rather, the traditional-ness of the cafe and its offerings, reminds me that sometimes when we’re locking in, we need to go back to the basics. I cannot count how many times I have been stressed in a class because nothing made sense…
But then I spent some time locking in on the most basic concepts, the concepts I glazed over in the beginning → and then everything connected, and I felt more confident in my studies. Keep it simple, go back to the basics → take notes from the beginning. Watch the intro videos before you jump into the full-blown content.
